Hello... Chaplain TIG here. Read the full letter (1.25mb PDF document)... |
The Quietly Working Foundation has one extremely clear mission objective: Serve the Children of Fallen Soldiers. The driving motivation behind every effort the QWF undertakes is that we want each of these children to know that the citizens of the United States of America recognize their loss, and are committed to helping them achieve their highest potential in life. Our only pre-qualification of potential recipients is the tragedy of losing a parent or guardian while in U.S. Military service. “When Do We Step Into Action?”, shares the models we use to plan for the needs these children may have in the different stages of their life. Our programs and services are designed to directly benefit the children. We do serve the needs of the surviving parent or guardian through our “Relocation & Reintegration Assistance program”, because we recognize the value of a strong and healthy home life as a foundational building block in a child’s journey toward achieving their dreams. |
The Quietly Working Foundation has no geographical boundaries. We desire to serve every single child of a fallen U.S. soldier, whether in the states or abroad.

What Efforts Do We Undertake?
Expressions of Appreciation Programs (EOA)
The Expressions of Appreciation programs are focused around regular communication with the family and specifically the child, to build a valuable and lasting relationship, maintain an up-to-date assessment of their needs, and to continually reinforce how much they are valued and appreciated.

America’s Dream Mentorship & Vocational Assistance Program
Through our “Expressions of Appreciation” efforts, we make efforts to learn of the hopes and dreams of these children as they are developing into adults. The America’s Dream Mentorship & Vocational Assistance program will open doors and present opportunities to the child that match their goals. This program is designed to help every child who’s parent has made the ultimate sacrifice, to establish their own personal American Dream through personal growth and empowerment. To one it may be becoming a doctor, to another a business owner, to another an airline pilot. Every one will be unique and an honor to assist them in achieving.
One Day...
we would like to be in a position to establish some long-term assistance programs to further open the doors of opportunity to the children and their families. Programs like...
Pre-College Scholarship Program
A scholarship fund to financially assist the child to take advantage of pre-college opportunities that will further their development and achievements toward their goals.
College Scholarship Program
A scholarship fund to financially assist the child to take advantage of college opportunities that will further their development and achievements toward their goals.
When Do We Step Into Action?
We use two models to plan for the needs these children may have in different stages of their life.
Event Horizon Timeline
This model helps us to prepare for the needs that a family may have within the first three years after the tragedy of their fallen soldier.
Life Stages Timeline
This model helps us to prepare for the needs that the children of a fallen soldier may have over the course of their development through adulthood.
