Understanding What We Do

How Did We Get Started?

Who Do We Serve?

Where Are Our Boundaries?

Hello... Chaplain TIG here.
I am pleased to say that I had the honor of starting The Quietly Working Foundation for The Children of Fallen Soldiers in 2006.

I am often asked why I started The QWF. My initial response to that question was, “How could I not?”. After further introspective consideration, I offer the following explanation.

Since I was old enough to have a dream, it was to fly with the United States Air Force. I worked towards that goal until a flight surgeon at the El Toro Marine Base documented a heart related birth defect, and I would never be able to serve my nation in our Armed Forces. I have always had a love and appreciation for our country, and the highest respect and admiration for those men and women serving in my place. As my own businesses grew and I began looking into special ways to give back, my heart was consistently drawn to these children who have innocently made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Quietly Working Foundation has one extremely clear mission objective: Serve the Children of Fallen Soldiers.

The driving motivation behind every effort the QWF undertakes is that we want each of these children to know that the citizens of the United States of America recognize their loss, and are committed to helping them achieve their highest potential in life.

Our only pre-qualification of potential recipients is the tragedy of losing a parent or guardian while in U.S. Military service.

When Do We Step Into Action?”, shares the models we use to plan for the needs these children may have in the different stages of their life.

Our programs and services are designed to directly benefit the children.  We do serve the needs of the surviving parent or guardian through our “Relocation & Reintegration Assistance program”, because we recognize the value of a strong and healthy home life as a foundational building block in a child’s journey toward achieving their dreams.

The Quietly Working Foundation has no geographical boundaries.  We desire to serve every single child of a fallen U.S. soldier, whether in the states or abroad.

Our only boundaries are drawn by our supporters, the people who make our efforts possible. With every gracious gift of support, you help us to expand our boundaries and extend our services to additional children.

It is our most passionate desire that not a single child gets left behind to feel the despair of being forgotten.

With your help, we can serve every one of them!  Together, we can insure that for every soldier that made “the ultimate sacrifice” in service of the United States of America and its citizens, their children will be supported with the finest of care.

What Efforts Do We Undertake?

America’s Dream Mentorship & Vocational Assistance Program

Through our “Expressions of Appreciation” efforts, we make efforts to learn of the hopes and dreams of these children as they are developing into adults.  The America’s Dream Mentorship & Vocational Assistance program will open doors and present opportunities to the child that match their goals.  This program is designed to help every child who’s parent has made the ultimate sacrifice, to establish their own personal American Dream through personal growth and empowerment.  To one it may be becoming a doctor, to another a business owner, to another an airline pilot.  Every one will be unique and an honor to assist them in achieving.
